Mike Ryan Coyotes with Jose Alvarez – 9/28

Mike Ryan

San Antonio singer-songwriter Mike Ryan became fond of both Native American culture and Mexican culture, and attributes his strong connection to the land of South Texas and Louisiana to the traditions of those cultures.

Mike Ryan

Mike Ryan Coyotes brings a mix of Irish, Mexican, and original song compositions, including an original musical narrative of the story of the San Patricios, a group of Irish immigrants who deserted the US Army to fight for Mexico. Heroes in Ireland and Mexico, and villains who were written out of US history.

Mike will be joined by fellow Coyote Miquel Galindo.

Miguel Galindo

We’re also excited to welcome Mike’s old friend, special guest Jose Alvarez. Jose was a founding member of Syracuse’s own LOS BLANCOS and currently tours with the GRAMMY award-winning Terrance Simien & the Zydeco Experience.
