Shakedown Sunday is a monthly series hosted by Jeffrey Pepper Rodgers and members of Dead to the Core, with special guests, that celebrates the music of the Grateful Dead—not just the band’s originals but songs from across the roots and rock worlds they made their own.
The January 2024 Shakedown Sunday features Dead to the Core’s Jeffrey Pepper Rodgers, Wendy Sassafras Ramsay, and Tim Burns performing with special guest Natalia Zukerman.
Natalia Zukerman is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and visual artist based in the Hudson Valley. The daughter of classical musicians Eugenia and Pinchas Zukerman, Natalia found her sound on other strings—slide guitar, lap steel, dobro—and found kinship in the earthiness and honesty of folk, bluegrass, jazz, and blues music. Since 2005 she has released eight independent albums and toured internationally, serving in recent years as a cultural diplomat with the U.S. State Department. You can check her out HERE.
