You’d be hard-pressed to find a more fitting description of The Dirty Doves than the Urban Dictionary’s top definition of a “Dirty Dove”:
[Dirty] [Dove]
Cute and cuddly as a dove, but down and dirty like a city pigeon.
We’re all Dirty Doves at heart, aren’t we? A blending of light balanced with dirty, messy exploration.
So what does a Dirty Dove sound like?
Your new favorite rock & roll act, The Dirty Doves, have created Pure & Simple, an album that’s sultry and serene, with a sweet, streetwise sensibility. Hear it in the guitar and vocal harmonies on tracks like “Machu Picchu,” “Barcelona,” “Nobody’s Got The Time,” and the album’s title track, “Pure & Simple.” Hear it on the first single, “Dragonfly,” as well as songs like “Ms. White” and “The Flame.”
Like many of us, Syracuse natives Jamie Cunningham and Anthony Saturno found themselves with a lot of time on their hands during the pandemic. They began cultivating their sound and Dirty Doves was born.
Everyone is a Dirty Dove at heart.
Pure & Simple is available on September 21 on all listening platforms.
