Fresh off a powerful run and Top 40 placement on ABC’s American Idol, 21-year-old Althea Grace and her story touched the hearts of millions.
Lionel Ritchie said, “The hardest part in this business is to have a unique voice that cuts through. You have a cut-through voice,” and Luke Bryan said, “I love the tone of your voice. Where you’re navigating in the heart of your range is almost like Stevie Nicks quality. I like your voice.”
Althea’s first love was music and she describes herself as, “Pop, but not modern-pop, more like The Faces or The Beatles type of pop.” Althea was heavily influenced by artists such as The Beatles and Fleetwood Mac. She has played top festivals and venues in Chicago, The Midwest, and beyond the last five years, including opening for Doyle Bramhall II, grammy-winning artists Los Lobos and Leann Womack, and American Idol finalist Bucky Covington. Althea loves writing and recording with others and recently started releasing new music again. She was featured on the Los Lobos version of the Shins’ song “The Fear.” She was also previously credited for writing on Bramhall’s album “Shades,” including the track “Everything You Need” featuring Eric Clapton. Althea is back in the studio and ready to return to touring!
